Flap Replacement

Your sweeping head and flap condition can have a dramatic impact on the sweeping and pickup power of your NiteHawk. Flaps and head should be inspected on a weekly interval – always checking for a bent or damaged head, incorrectly adjusted skids, or worn flaps. Any one of these things can lead to improper flap / pavement clearance and reduce the sweeping capability of your machine.

Breather/Filter – Hydraulic System Maintenance

As part of your regular maintenance program on a NiteHawk sweeper, the hydraulic system filters are changed on an annual basis. One of the often overlooked components of the hydraulic system is your reservoir Breather/Filter. Breather/Filters are a crucial link in the hydraulic system, preventing airborne contaminants and moisture from entering the tank. If these filters are not changed on an annual basis, they can become clogged, allowing contaminated air into the system causing premature wear and possible failure of hydraulic components.
